Description
The B&T SPC9 PDW SD SBR is a compact, integrally suppressed 9mm personal defense weapon (PDW) developed by the Swiss firearms manufacturer Brügger & Thomet. It belongs to the SPC9 family of modular pistol-caliber carbines designed for law-enforcement, military, and civilian tactical use.
The PDW SD SBR configuration combines a short-barreled rifle (SBR) format with an integrally suppressed barrel system, allowing the firearm to operate with reduced sound signature while maintaining compact dimensions. The barrel is ported and paired with a Reduced Backpressure System (RBS) suppressor, which helps minimize gas blowback and recoil while improving shooting comfort.
One of the defining characteristics of the SPC9 platform is its dual charging-handle system. It includes a traditional AR-style rear charging handle as well as a non-reciprocating, foldable side charging handle above the barrel, allowing users to operate the weapon using different manual-of-arms techniques.
